Property Reviews

“This attractively appointed studio was just the right size for the two of us on a week long stay. A standout of the renovation is the shower, both practical and handsome with tiled walls and floor. We walked everywhere and discovered restaurant gems nearby.” - Barbara, November 2015
“Had an amazing stay in this beautiful little one room apartment. It was nicely furnished including little kitchenette which made great for cooking breakfast. For a weekend get away it was all we needed. If we had to be nit-picky, the bed might be the loudest bed we have ever slept in. If you are light sleeper be warned this bed is loud when you move. It was perfect walking distance to King street and the surrounding location.” - Adam C, June 2015
“My husband and I visited Charleston for a long weekend as we are considering relocating from our current city. The studio apartment was the perfect size and met our needs for the weekend in regards to location and price. It was very clean and nicely upgraded. The kitchenette was really useful for storing a few small food and beverage items. We would consider this rental again for a long weekend before looking into a hotel.” - Lauren, June 2015
“We had a wonderful stay in Charleston. Reservations were easy. We received a nice Welcome Packet. Check-In/Out was easy. Location was excellent! Nice walk to downtown and several good restaurants and bakeries close by. The unit was clean and very nicely appointed. The bed was soft and noisy, and we would like to have had ice or a little freezer. But overall very nice accommodations. Thank you! We’ll be back!” - Laura, May 2015
“Had a wonderful stay. The studio apartment was exactly as described. Perfect size for a couple. We ate breakfast there each morning - the kitchenette is just the right size for that. I wouldn’t want to try to cook a meal though. But why would you want to when there are so many wonderful restaurants.  We walked downtown each day, and you can catch the bus or trolley if you like. No need to take your car if you don’t mind walking. The porch was an added bonus and the street was pretty quiet (we were there during the week). The studio was very well equipped and the sheets were very soft.  Everything was clean. The bathroom shower was very large considering the size of the bathroom. No need for keys as the doors have a combination lock - so you don’t have to worry about forgetting to take the key or locking yourself out. We will definitely be staying here or at another Walk Away Stays property in the future!” - Sherri, April 2015
“Very nice apartment - we also really liked this location. Walking distance to lots of great restaurants and the downtown area. The management is also very friendly and helpful.” - Thomas C., March 2015
“Enjoyed a wonderful weekend in Charleston. Location is perfect for experiencing the real Charleston and not the Touristy Charleston. One block from a convience store 2 blocks from bakery’s, Bars and great restaurants. Had our extended family stay while visiting our daughter at CofC. This was our fourth time with Walkaway and they always deliver a clean and well stocked house for a great visit. House had everything we needed. Bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms are updated and the beds are very comfortable. Can not wait to go back!” - Karen
“This place was great! Small but cute and just a short walk from anywhere in Downtown Charleston! The driveway is shared with another unit, but luckily you won’t need your car much, unless you’re headed to the beach. Walk Away Stays is very accommodating, so I would definitely recommend staying here!” - Alyssa
“My wife and I enjoyed our stay at 249A Coming St. The studio apartment has been updated and is nicely furnished. We liked the location and being able to walk to the numerous restaurants in Uptown Charleston.” - Michael
