"My fiancée and I stayed at 227 Rutledge unit B. The unit was very clean, pet friendly, and in an incredible location right across from Xao Bao... Every time we come to Charleston we use Walkaway stays.. The house was equipped with plenty of towels and soaps. Also, the house has cable, but even better a Roku for streaming services. I thought that was extremely cool. Totally recommend Walkaway stays..." -Conn, August 2017
"Great place to stay! Definitely enjoyed it and would stay again!" -Hatidza, July 2017
"Beautifully upgraded and in a perfect location. It had all of the comforts of home and was clean and well maintained. It was perfect!" -Cindy, November 2016
"My group and I had a great time staying at this apartment. We loved the small outdoor patio by the front door with the swinging bench. The apartment is conveniently located within Charleston and is about a 10 minute walk from king street, right around the corner from great breakfast places like the hominy grill.Kevin was a great host as he provided my group and I with tons of information to make our weekend trip even better in Charleston. I would definitely stay here again. The apartment looks a lot nicer than what the pictures depict." - Ryan, October 2016
"We had a lovely visit to Charleston last month and Walk Away Stays made it easier. The unit was clean, furnished nicely and updated beautifully. The tight driveway and need to coordinate getting in and out with our fellow guest was a minor inconvenience to be so conveniently located. I was easy access to everywhere we needed to be all week." -Sabrina June 2016
“My wife and I, and our dog Piper, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Excellent location, very clean, well equipped. Walking distance to a number of very good restaurants and bars. Fuel has an awesome back patio and is about 1 block away. The only negative is parking - which Walk Away Stays is upfront about, but be prepared for shuffling cars if you bring one. There is a narrow driveway that all tenants share, but there is also street parking across the street. The office people are great, the area is beautiful, I highly recommend this place, especially if you have pets!" - Tim, March 2016
"Exploring Charleston was made easy by the great location of the apartment. Catching the trolley (which is free) right around the corner, having good food within a stone’s throw (Hominy Grill is a must), and most importantly being able to park on site - fabulous.” - Sabine, May 2015
“The apartment was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We even appreciated the coffee! The location was unbeatable—walking distance to town, quiet neighborhood, and great restaurants in the area. Walk away stays was even kind enough to help us get in touch with a few other residents who had accidentally parked us in so we could get home. Overall a very good stay.” - Nicole D, March 2015
“I cannot say enough about the amazing experience I had with Walk Away Stays. Everyone I dealt with was so pleasant. The information I received before my arrival and the payment process was so efficient The apartment was exactly what I was looking for. Clean, well equipped and in a perfect location. Thank you for everything. I will definitely recommend your services.” - Judith, February 2015
“The space was perfect for the wedding weekend of my daughter. I had plenty of room to cut make the bouquets, corsages, etc for the wedding. The parking was a little tight but it all worked out. I definitely would stay there again. It was also perfect for accommodating two dogs.” - Diane
“The apartment was very nice and we enjoyed the outdoor seating area near a small pond. There were a number of very good restaurants nearby, and even the many on King street were just a 15 minute walk. Overall we were very pleased with the place and would recommend it.” - D. Frey
“The place was just what we needed. Everything worked well, although the sink’s water pressure leaves something to be desired (the shower was great, though). We really liked the location. It’s an easy walk (18 minutes or so) to downtown, and there are plenty of good restaurants and little stores within a block or two. Staying here is much better than a hotel, and I’d gladly recommend it to my friends.” - Mike
“The unit was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The porch swing outside our door was perfect for relaxing any time of the day. Getting around the Historic District was very easy, and all within walking distance. A lot of great places to see and explore. Eateries with awesome food abound in the area.” - Robert
“The unit was nice and clean...exactly what we needed for our short stay. Close to downtown if you don’t mind walking 15-20 minutes. Good restaurants near by. It was difficult to park in the driveway because you would block someone in and have to ask them to move their car..so we just parked in the street with no problem. Overall, it was great! Would definitely recommend.” -M.Z.
