"What a fabulous time we had! It was a birthday weekend for me and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo was perfect. Not only is it perfectly located to shopping, dining, and downtown, but the short walks to the market and the river were great. The unit is very comfortable in spite of not having a full kitchen. We had individual A/C thermostats and the beds were very comfortable. We had someone above us, but they were very respectful of the rules. My girlfriends and I will definitely stay there again." - Kathy, July 2016
“Great location, two blocks from the Market, French Quarter - right in the middle of downtown shopping. The office answers all calls and the staff was very helpful." - Betty, May 2016
"My wife and two other couples stayed three nights. Although we were above a busy restaurants and street, the apartment felt very private. There was plenty of room to stretch out and take a break from shopping and sight-seeing." - Damon, May 2016
"This place is wonderfully located with easy walking to so many great restaurants, shops, etc. The apartment was very clean. It was hard to find at first. We appreciated the early check-in very much." - Megan, March 201
"This was a great apartment for our family. It was roomy but private. Had all the accommodations we needed. The location was fantastic. It wasn’t noisy even though we were central to everything. Wonderful place to stay for 6 adults.” - Larry, June 2015
“My sister, niece and I just spent Christmas in Charleston. The property was perfect for us in terms of location and space. I agree with the comment about the sheets. They are the softest sheets I have ever encountered. ” - Elaine
“We recently stayed in 229a for my Bachelorette weekend in Charleston and it was perfect. Great location, conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants, shops, the waterfront, carriage tours, bars - everywhere you want to go! The apartment is beautiful and in great condition. The beds are super comfortable and they make them with 1500 thread count sheets we deemed “butter sheets” because they were so good. The air conditioning is lovely to come back to as well. The apartment has an assortment of dishes, glasses and silverware as well as a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. There is a Harris Teeter in walking distance to buy drinks or groceries. Seven of us stayed there and it was a great space. Obviously the sofa bed is not quite as comfortable as the real beds, but it did the trick. I would highly recommend this rental to others looking to stay in the Charleston area with a group and I would love to stay there again myself. Walk Away Stays was great to work with! Wonderful weekend - thank you!! ” -Emily
“This was the perfect place to stay in Charleston! The location was great, we were able to walk to all of the shops, restaurants and sites we wanted to explore. The property was very clean, beds were comfortable and a great place to relax. Also a plus was having a parking spot included. We highly recommend staying here and we will stay here again when we return to Charleston.” - Joy
